B TEENERS WITH 43 GAME SCHEDULE IN 2007
(April 2) - An improved schedule, highlighted by a talented Post 8 Triangular and the always challenging Father's Day Tournament in Winner, highlight Allen Goodman's second year as B Teener coach.
Goodman led the squad to a 19-25 mark a year ago after playing three years on the Post 8 Legion.
This year, the B's will see many familiar foes, with two new opponents on the slate.
The Miller A Teeners, who had a lengthy rivalry with the Post 8 B's when Goodman was a player, return to Hyde Stadium after a five-year absence. Also, Sioux Falls has created a second B Teener team, Sioux Falls South, and Post 8 has scheduled games with them.
As a matter of fact, Sioux Falls South will join the Rapid City Post 320 Rising Stars and Pierre in the B Teener Triangular, set for June 30 and July 1 at Hyde. Each team will play four games that weekend.
The annual trip to the Winner Father's Day Tournament (June 15-17), plus the four-game series with the Pierre Pony All-Stars (June 23, 25) are also on the schedule.
In all, the B's will play at Hyde Stadium on 11 dates (nine doubleheaders and the triangular). Ten of those 11 home dates will be either at night or on a weekend, providing ultimate exposure for the squad.
