BILL GAYTON

Bill Gayton begins his sixth season as a member of the Post 8 coaching staff, his third as a special instructor for the younger Post 8 players.

Gayton was the head coach of the Post 8 B Teeners in 2002, then manned the A Teeners in 2003 and 2004. This year, he has been shifted to the position of special instructor, making better use of his ability to coach younger players.

Gayton brings to the plate years of baseball knowledge, as a player and coach for numerous years. The baseball in his genes has extended to his son, Bill Jr., who is currently the head of scouting for the San Diego Padres.
