Pierre Post 8's 13-14 Teeners will make their traditional weekend trip of north, participating in the Aberdeen 13-14 Teener Tournament the second weekend in July.

The tournament, which was previously held in the first weekend of June, will give Post 8 a chance to play two Class AA Majors 13-14 Teener squads, plus two 15-16 Teener teams.

Pierre will play two Aberdeen teams, opening up with the Aberdeen 15-16 B Teener "Twins" at 3 p.m. After taking a game off, they will play in the nightcap Saturday against the Aberdeen Titans, a former region opponent of the Post 8 13-14 Teeners.

On Sunday, Pierre will play the first two games, beginning with an 11 a.m. matchup with the Selby 15-16 Teeners. Post 8 finishes up tournament play at 1 p.m. Sunday against the Watertown White Sox.

Last year, the Post 8 13-14 Teeners won the tournament title, going undefeated in four games. The Titans and White Sox were two opponents a year ago, but Pierre also beat the Aberdeen 13-14 B "Wolves" and the Redfield 15-16 Teeners.

The 13-14 Teeners are 4-4 in two years of tournament play. They were 0-4 in 2003, dropping 15-run decisions to the Titans and Wolves on Saturday, then losing to the Redfield 15-16 Teeners and Watertown on Sunday.
