2006 Season Capsule
19-25
under coach Allen Goodman
Pierre Post 8's B Teener team compiled a 19-25 mark in 2006
despite a squad that suffered from bad luck.
Due to all of the moving up of the 16-year-olds, the B Teeners ended up
without five or six players full-time that, in other years, they would have
had. When that's considered, 19-25 looks pretty impressive for Allen
Goodman's team.
Paul Sheldon was the offensive leader, hitting two home runs during the
season.
Ryan Hahn and Quinn Holden also had significant seasons at the plate.
Dylan Reimers, Drew Badger, Raven Cummings and Sheldon led the squad on the
mound.

Coach: Brian Pope
Record: 22-21-1.
4-0 vs. Pony All-Stars
The Pierre Post 8 B Teeners won 10 more games than in 2004, finishing with a
winning mark of 22-21-1.
The squad, which was made up of primarily 15-year olds, ended the year by
winning 10 of their last 12 to end the season one game over .500
The B's were led by Drew White, an A Teener in 2004 who this past year hit
.506 with 14 doubles and eight triples. White and Will Corcoran (.427, 15
doubles, seven triples) spent time with both the B and A Teeners, and were
the only two B's to end the year over .400.
Paul Sheldon came on in the second half of the season, finishing with a .375
average. Brian Chicoine hit .373 and Chance Frederick hit .367 for Brian
Pope's squad.
On the mound, Brian Drapeaux showed tremendous promise for the future, going
7-2 with a 4.39 ERA. Drapeaux recorded 59 strikeouts in 55 1/3 innings, with
opponents hitting just .268 off of him. Drapeaux, who threw a one-hit
shutout against the Rapid City Bullets for the Split Squad in late-June,
will be looked upon to lead the A Teener pitching staff next season.
Chicoine, Frederick and White were the other mainstays on the staff.
Chicoine was 3-4 with a 7.63 ERA, while Frederick went 5-5 with a 5.85 ERA.
White stuck out 38 batters in 32 2/3 innings, but walked 51 batters in that
span, finishing with a 2-3 mark and an 8.54 ERA.

Record:
12-38
Coach:
Trevor Fisher & Brian Pope
The 15&16 B Teeners took three of four from the Pony All Stars to
highlight their 2004 campaign, which saw them also take three of four from Huron during
the regular season. Much like the Split Squad, the B Teeners provide the lower-tier
teeners the opportunity to play an extra year. Playing similar teams from the Class A
towns, along with A Teener teams from smaller towns, the B Teeners came on at the end of
the year, despite their record. The experience many of those kids gained will be put to
good use on the Split Squad or Legion next year. |
