Pierre Post 8 will participate in one of the biggest regular season tournaments played in South Dakota each season, the Milt Simons Memorial Tournament June 17-19 in Sioux Falls.

The tournament features 16 teams, four pools, and all 35 games will be played at the new Harmondon Baseball Complex in Sioux Falls. The complex has four full-size fields that will host the tournament.

Post 8 is paired up in Pool C, joining Omaha (Neb.) North, Burnsville, Minn., and Yankton Post 12. Every team is guaranteed four games, three within their pool.

Pierre opens up play against Burnsville on Friday, June 17 at 2 p.m. At 6 p.m. that evening, Post 8 will take on Yankton. Saturday, Pierre will play Omaha (Neb.) North at noon.

Following pool play, Pierre will play in the championship bracket (top two teams from each pool) or the consolation bracket (last two teams from each pool).

Only the four teams that win their championship bracket games Saturday will play on Sunday.
