LISTEN TO POST 8 BASEBALL ON RIVER 92.7 At least one game from every road date will be carried by RIVER 92.7 as well as several selected home dates and the annual Doug Koester Wood Bat Tournament hosted by Pierre at Hyde Stadium. The broadcast season begins on Memorial Day when Pierre hosts Rapid City Post 22 in the annual season opener. Scheduled road contest throughout the summer from Northville, Rapid City, Watertown, Valley Springs, Sioux Falls, Huron, Sturgis, Spearfish, Winner, Mitchell and Aberdeen will have at least one game of their doubleheaders broadcast. And RIVER 92.7 will once again bring you all 6 games that Pierre will play at Dickinson, North Dakota’s annual Wood Bat tournament. Home dates to be carried along with the season opener and the Koester tournament include the Rapid City Post 320 and Sioux Falls West triangular to be played in late June. Hyde Stadium will also play host to the State American Legion Championship tournament August 8th through the 12th. And for a third consecutive year, games aired on RIVER 92.7 can also be accessed on the Dakota Radio Groups’ website www.dakotaradiogroup.com. Once again, Dakota Radio Group Sports Director Rod Fisher will be describing the action. The 32 year broadcast veteran has been a part of the Pierre radio sports scene since 1979. He has been with the Dakota Radio Group for the last 15 years. Honors that Fisher has received include being named the 2005 South Dakota Sportscaster of the Year. And this past March Rod was awarded the South Dakota High School Activities Association Distinguished Service award honoring his years of service to high school athletes and athletics in central South Dakota. Fisher has been the Dakota Radio Group’s voice of Post 8 American Legion Baseball since 2001 and the exclusive FM voice on RIVER 92.7-FM since 2003. A 15 minute pre game show will aired prior to the first pitch. In case of doubleheaders, special between game interviews and programming will be aired.
