The Pierre Post 8 Junior Varsity will make its traditional three-day June trip to Rapid City, spending June 9-1 at the Top Hitter Tournament at Rapid City's Floyd Fitzgerald Stadium.

Post 8 will play both of Post 22's secondary teams, the Bullets and the Split Squad, as well as the junior varsities from Sturgis and Cheyenne, Wyo. Pierre went 2-1 at last year's tournament, defeating Sturgis and the Post 22 Split Squad while losing to Cheyenne. Pierre and the Bullets played three innings before rain halted the game.

Post 8's Split Squad will play eight games at Fitzgerald, four in the tournament and a four game series with the Bullets in July.
