The 2nd Annual Joe Kirley Memorial 13-14 Teener Invitational Tournament is scheduled for July 14-15 at Hyde Stadium.

The event is named in honor of the longtime Post 8 baseball supporter. Kirley spent many seasons on the Post 8 baseball board, and was the Legion athletic officer throughout the 1960s, 70s, and 80s. He was a constant at Hyde Stadium, watching baseball up until the very end.

Five teams will compete in the round robin tournament. Watertown, Aberdeen, and the two Black Hills Pony all-star teams will join Post 8 in the field

Pierre did host a two-day, four-team tournament two years ago in a trial run, with Pierre winning the title over Sioux Falls West, Belle Fourche and Mitchell.
